Villa Katrin offers a rare opportunity to experience the true heart of Greece. A short

drive from Athens, located on the second largest island in Greece, you will find yourself in the quiet and beautiful countryside village of Katheni. With a population of about 150, this

quaint village is very special. The Greek Orthodox Church is the anchor of the village

which hosts a coffee shop, three family restaurants, a bakery, pharmacy and mini-market.

The nearest town is about 20 minutes away.

Many tourists are now traveling as a group and all with different needs. We understand this and give you the options to create the holiday you want. You choose the experience.

This home is perfect for a large family or group of friends. The first floor is the dedicated living area with a large living and family room complete with a full size bar. On the second floor, there are six bedrooms each with their own bathroom. The owners suite boasts a large sitting area, dressing room, fireplace and 180 degree view of the mountains and valley from your bed.

As a guest of Villa Katrin you will experience the food, culture, natural surroundings, and above all—the privacy—that only a private home can provide. Along with the friendly hosts guiding your stay, you will have the opportunity learn to cook using recipes and methods that go back hundreds of years should you choose this experience.

Not into cooking? Not a problem. You can enjoy one of the 110 beaches of Evia, take an archeological tour, visit a local winery, go for a hike on one of the many hiking trails or drive to north Evia and check out the natural hot springs and sites along the way.

Having a vehicle is highly recommended.

Commercial Kitchen

Culinary Option

The Villa has a large commercial size kitchen on site, separate from the main house. This is where all cooking classes are held. Our staff will teach you to cook local favorites using recipes which have been passed down for generations and are not often found at restaurants. You can choose up to five classes during your stay.

The ingredients used are farm fresh, sourced from local farms, meat and fish markets. If you have specific food requirements please let use know in advance.

The Villa

Villa Katrin is located on the north end of Katheni, a small village about a 20- minute drive from the main city of Chalkida and a 90 minute drive from Athens. It provides the ideal home-base for exploring Evia with day trips and activities. The main floor has a large living room, family room with full bar dining area and kitchen and bathroom. There is also an outdoor BBQ with a shaded patio area where you can

relax in the summer sun.

The second floor of the villa has 6 bedrooms, each with full private bathroom. There are no bedrooms on the first floor.

Amenities

Villa Katrin offers a variety of amenities to make your visit with us as comfortable as possible. Each room has a flat screen television, as well as high-speed internet. Laundry service is available for small fee, so no need to over- pack. A variety of Island experiences is available to you. Just let us know your wish list, and we will have it for you when you arrive

Villa Katrin has a full Bar and is ready to party. Greece has most international brands, so please let us know what you would like in advance of your stay and we will gladly stock it for you.

Located to the north of the villa, Edipsos is one of the most famous spa towns in Greece. Popular since ancient times, the healing properties of the thermal springs (about 80 of them) were mentioned in the works of Aristotle, and have hosted notable visitors from Marcus Aurilius to Aristotle Onasis to name a few. You may find semi-thermal sea water at certain beaches where thermal springs reach the sea. Make sure to add this day trip to your 'do-not-miss' list.
